Our study on menopausal women builds on our 30 years of psychographic segmentation research on the health motivations of the 40+ market. Our previous research reveals five segments of menopausal women based on their choice of treatment for menopause.
In analyzing the health motivations of these segments against our Morgan-Levy Health Cube, a distillation of our three separate psychographic health segmentations discussed in our latest book, Health Motivations: 7 Dimensions That Shape America’s Health, we pinpoint the health motivations behind each menopausal segment’s health-care choices. Sample 1,500 40+ respondents based on a national probability sample based on sex, age, and U.S. Census region; additional 500 women aged 40 to 60.
The graph shows our five menopausal segments crossed with six of the seven Morgan-Levy Health Cube dimensions showing statistical significance. For example, the segment most concerned about their body and sexuality have low scores on both Trust in Doctors and Seek Health Information. Interestingly, this segment is highest in taking estrogen.
